How often do I change Oil on my Vacuum packaging machine. 

Many customers tend to neglect the fact that these Single or Double chamber type Vacuum Pack Machines require some TLC.  The bare minimum of changing oil for the Busch Vacuum Type Pumps require at least one oil change once a year. Often times the average Vacuum Packaging equipment company will recommend depending on of often your sealer is used, if you work with it one or two shifts a day recommendation is to change the oil and exhaust filters on a quarterly bases.

How often do I change the lid gasket and seal bar wire or Teflon tape.  

As For the replacement seal bar wire and replacement vacuum seal bar Teflon tap and lid gasket well that gets changed depending on how much the machine is used. If the wire is burning through the tape time to change it and service your seal bars and if air is leaking from the lid gasket also time to replace the vacuum lid gasket. As a general rule aim for service to be done quarterly not only do you increase the life of your vacuum machine but in the long run avoid a heaver cost in service and repairs. If the pump has built up oil sludge stuck to the walls of the Busch pump performance is impacted and you will notice your production time will decrease the pump will require several Vacuum pump flushing fluid and several tricks to make it run like new again. in worst case situations the pump needs to be dismantled for a more vigorous cleaning.
